Man I'd love one of these. I'm a sucker for DB7's, especially row-your-own models. IMO they are just achingly beautiful machines.

Surprisingly they're not a lot worse than anything else out there from the period. The biggest difference is probably the obvious one- cost of parts, repairs, etc. if and when needed.

They can't just be driven hard and left wet like a 90's Toyota, however. Services should be done when suggested by the manufacturer, as things not changed/replaced/inspected when recommended will likely soon let you know that you done fucked up.

Other than that, surprisingly easy to live with from what I've been told. Just pay attention to the details and maintenance schedule, and it should treat you nicely.

My personal favorites are the earlier inline-6 coupes with a manual. This is the Aston that gets my heart pumping the most:
